The three-day Central Level Practice Sharing Workshop for NRCTP VII was held from September 26 to 28, 2024, at North Point Mall Bode, Bhaktapur, gathering 54 participants, including board members, central team members, regional coordinators, NRPs, account officers, and facilitators. The workshop aimed to exchange knowledge, celebrate achievements, and reflect on challenges encountered during the program’s seventh phase. Key discussions focused on fundraising strategies, with each region sharing its progress and challenges in securing funds from local governments for conflict transformation. Opportunities to enhance partnerships with local authorities and involve them further in NRCTC-N’s peace-building work were explored.
The workshop employed interactive methods like presentations, group discussions, and experience-sharing sessions, creating an engaging environment for participants to share practical insights. Regional teams presented their achievements, including the successful transformation of 91 out of 102 conflict cases and an increase in financial support from local governments, indicating growing program recognition. Participants also shared strategies to address challenges such as securing government approval for agreements and ensuring sustainable funding. Emphasizing the importance of strong local relationships and transparency, the workshop underscored the need to engage governments early in the conflict transformation process. These insights are expected to strengthen NRCTC-N’s future efforts, enhance funding opportunities, and deepen collaboration with local authorities.
