Interpersonal Conflict Cases
Conflict exists in every part of the county in the form of personal, interpersonal or in groups. The interpersonal conflict cases are resolved by mobilizing mediators produced from basic mediation training. It begins with conflict analysis following facilitation at the community level. The analysis of community disputes has demonstrated 15 different types of issues which include: Land, Domestic quarrel/violence, Transaction, Physical assault, Defamation, Partition/Alimony, Wages/Compensation, Road/exit, Drinking water/ irrigation, Crops, Animal husbandry/grazing, Forest/community forest, Victim Identity Card, Miscellaneous (drinking alcohol, reconstruction, simple theft, dog-bite, etc.) and new disputes as per LoGA (Local Government Operation Act, 2017). Under the community mediation program, a total of 10,890 inter-personal conflict cases are successfully resolved.
