On April 6, 2024, NRCTC-N organized a one-day workshop in Nagarkot, Bhaktapur, to review its safeguarding policy. The event was attended by 24 participants, including board members, regional coordinators, NRPs, facilitators, consultants, central office team members and TAF representatives, to emphasize the policy's significance and gather insights to enhance its effectiveness. Executive Director Chup Bahadur Thapa led the session, emphasizing the policy's pivotal role in organizational sustainability. Mr Chandrika Khatiwada, the resource person, presented the concept of abuse, safeguarding responsibilities, and discussed NRCTC-N's child protection and other pertinent policies. Group discussions identified vulnerable groups, root causes of abuse, and strategies for mitigation, stressing the policy's role in long-term organizational viability and the consequences of non-compliance.
