Seven modular training comprises seven modules based on the natural resource conflict transformation process with a theoretical class followed by field practice. The innovative concept of this training was invented in the facilitation of Professor John Paul Lederach. Through modular training, participants practice in the conflict transformation process and focus on deepening the practice and learning. In each module, participants learn about the theoretical sessions based on the conflict transformation process; afterwards, they practice the same learnings at the community level. Then they returned to the following modular workshop, reflected on their experience and challenges during field practice, and learned additional steps in the conflict transformation process. It repeats until the seventh module of seven modular training.
The modular training was conducted in the facilitation of skilled trainers who have been working in the multi-stakeholder conflict transformation process for many years. Their experience and lesson learned while working at the community level motivates and encourages the participants to do better and move further in the conflict transformation process. The central team of NRCTC-N supported overall management and smooth conduction of the training.
Starting from 23 May, 2022, the seventh module of seven modular training was concluded on 28 May 2023. Total 29 participants from 13 districts (Illam, Bhaktapur, Kavre, Sindhuapalchowk, Dolakha, Nuwakot, Banke, Bardiya, Palpa, Dhankuta, Dadeldhura, Kailali and Achham) participated in fourth phase seven modular training.
