Community Mediator is a third party who act impartially as a facilitator for dispute resolution. They are produced through the conduction of basic community mediation training to contribute in peace building process and create a peaceful civilized society. The training helps to develop skill in mediators for dispute resolution with win-win situation by listening to both parties. Total 5175 participants are listed as mediators after basic mediation training. The principal role of the mediator is to facilitate two conflicting parties by creating a favorable environment and help them to find solutions. During the process of mediation, the mediator does not impose solutions or decisions and do not force for dispute settlement. A solution is only reached by agreement between the conflicting parties in the facilitation of mediator. It is a timely, fair and cost-effective way of resolving conflict and the best way of alternative dispute resolution.
