Joint Meeting to Pass Common Alternatives

Joint Meeting to Pass Common Alternatives Published date: February 23, 2015

Land Encroachment Conflict between Bhalukhop Singh Devi CFUG and Users has been transformed with an agreement on common alternatives. The joint meeting to pass the common alternatives has been organized on February 23, 2015 at Hilltop Danda, Dhankuta in the participation of 41 people representing the conflicting parties and stakeholders. All participant agreed on following points of common alternatives

  1. Bimala Bista will hand over  the land she is using to Bhalukhop CFUG within Baishakh, 2072.
  2. Bimala Bista will be allowed to cultivate vegetables in that land  for a year provided she does not cut  vegetation.
  3. Bimala Bista will be provided with 500 feet of timber to build house on her own land and other users will help her to build the house.
  4. Other users who have been using the land of Community forest should also hand over the land within the year 2071.
