The joint meeting organized to mark the transformation of Tinchamke Sallaghari Community Forest Registration conflict brought happiness in the community shattered by terrors of Earthquake; the people of Thumpakhar – 4, Shindhupalchowk sang and danced along the folk tunes forgetting the miseries of life after earthquake; the youths, filled with energy and optimism, sang and danced with all their heart celebrating the transformation of conflict, that had led to formation of a community forest; not only youths, an elderly couple, 75 year old Jaya Bahadur Ghatani and 65 year old Ratnamaya Ghatani, also shared their happiness through dance that surprised and rejoiced everyone. Held on August 23, 2015 in participation of around 116 people, this joint meeting has passed the following agreement:
- Based on the approved constitution and operational plan of CFUG and following the Forest Development Guidelines, 2065, organizational development of Tinchamke Sallaghari CFUG will be done.
- The CFUG will provide the users with seedlings of grass and fodder plants for growing in their private lands.
- In case of forest lands that have been used by the people from ancient times, the community forest land under 5 m radius will be given to that person for conservation and management under the criteria that the person will not be allowed to cut more than 30 percent trees in such area.
- Users will not be allowed to cut/damage forest resource beyond their private lands.
