Agreement in Banjho CFUG Conflict; Dhankuta Published date: 11 April, 2015

Land Encroachment Conflict between Banjho CFUG and its Users of Mudhebash-1 & 2, Dhankuta has been transformed with an agreement passed through the joint meeting organized on 11 April, 2015 at the grounds of Mudhebash Secondary School; total 120 people including the conflicting parties, local people and stakeholders participated in the joint meeting. The common alternatives passed through this joint meeting are as follows:

  1. An inclusive executive committee of the CFUG will be elected through a general assembly for the effective utilization, management and conservation of the Community forest spread over a large area.
  2. The financial transparency will be maintained through internal and external audit; the annual income and expenditure of the CFUG will be made public.

Sub committees will be formed in each tole and all users will actively participate in the conservation, management and judicial use of the forest resource based on the operational plan.
